Ving Tsun (wing chun) Summer in Fxbg: Chi Sao Poi Jeang Photo Montage
Kung Fu Fxbg recently made an evening trip to the park for some Ving Tsun (wing chun) Chi Sao training. This photo montage shows Luk Sao (Rolling Hands) structure/process in the Chi Sao exercise, with a Poi Jeang technique and ‘trapping hands’.
Chi Sao (Sticking Hands) develops understanding of centerline, relaxation and the horse stances, plus good hand position, timing, reflexes, sensitivity and more.
The two students in the picture gallery are drilling the Chi Sao exercise in a relaxed manner; this way of training is challenging, but not a contest. Notice how the Sihing (senior Kung Fu student) on the right closes the Sidai’s (junior Kung Fu student) hands on the left, to trap them before doing the Poi Jeang technique.
As they are working together in a cooperative way, if you look closely you’ll see the guy on the left getting his left hand up to Wu Sao as the punch heads towards his chest. Ving Tsun Chi Sao training in the Moy Tung lineage is both safe and productive.
