The beginning and end of the Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu System: Siu Nim Tao

Siu Nim Tao (Little Beginning Idea) is the foundation, and the beginning and end of the Ving Tsun system. We play this form to warm up and warm down at the beginning and end of class. We also play it simply to play it, to study details, examine questions and develop Kung Fu.

In class, this form is played both individually, and in groups, with one person leading the form. Seeing and following other's form and following their lead in the sequence and details builds discipline, and also gives insights into the nature of Siu Nim Tao, to be applied and studied when one is playing the form solo.
