Cross Arm Horse-Punch Drill - Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu

These students are working on a Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu Cross Arm Drill to develop punching and horse-rooting power.

Blue shirt is the senior student. Each round begins wrist-to-wrist, and they take turns stepping in with a Chung Choi center punch vs. rooting in the horse and maintaining center, or doing a technique to counter, such as Tan Sao or Fook Sao.

This exercise develops centerline control with horse, elbow and wrist, and relaxed power that comes from the horse and the whole body structure.
