One-Side Lop Sao at Kung Fu Fxbg

Lop Sao exercise in Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu builds grabbing, trapping and counter-attacking skills, while also testing and developing relaxation, horse stance and centerline awareness/control.

The more advanced levels of Lop Sao include different technique applications. In this video, the students are practicing a basic version, doing only the Lop Sao, countering with Kwan Sao, then reversing the roles and repeating. They do this until one student needs a break, then resume using the other arms.

Ving Tsun's Chi Sao system is not sparring; it's an efficient system for studying and developing basic and advanced Kung Fu principles. The design of these exercises enables a high number of repetitions of simple movements in a relatively short period of time.

This allows students to intensively study, creating breakthroughs in their own training, gaining insight into the subtle details of the techniques, learning how to effectively apply them, and developing the Kung Fu to do so.
