Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu is direct, and it's not flashy - Erik Larson & Mike Donato

Ving Tsun (wing chun) is different. It’s simple and direct, and it’s not flashy. Ving Tsun is a system for Kung Fu training. It conditions the mind and body to relax, so you can efficiently and effectively handle what life throws at you, whether it’s a challenge or a threat.

Ving Tsun trains reflexes, skills and techniques that are effective in real-world self-defense situations. You develop the ability to relax and focus, with strong legs to keep you on your feet, and hands that can block and hit at the same time.

At Kung Fu Fxbg, we train to improve ourselves, and so we can protect ourselves and our loved ones. We like to do good in our communities, and we enjoy life in our own individual ways. We don’t care if we look cool when we’re training, or if we have to defend ourselves. Ving Tsun is not for everyone, but we like it. We think training Kung Fu is a good lifestyle and a good way to live.

In Ving Tsun training, every class is different, but we do a lot of the same things, over and over, sharpening and refining our Kung Fu, knowledge and skills. Some people may find it boring and think they’re not learning anything new, but if you focus and think about what you're learning, you can do the same punch 20 times and learn something new 20 times.

That's the way Ving Tsun Kung Fu is. It’s simple and direct – straight to the point, no wasted time, energy or movement. You develop the ability to do more with less effort. Hit with more power and less strength. Relax instead of react.

Disciplined hard, smart work, in a good system like Ving Tsun, with a lot of repetition and serious study, develops good Kung Fu. Training is an investment that will reward you as long as you live.
