Moy Tung Lop Dar and Joint-Locking techniques
Grandmaster Moy Tung came to Kung Fu Fxbg for a Ving Tsun (wing chun) Workout June 15. It was a full 3-hour workout focusing on Siu Nim Tao, Chi Sao and Lop Sao/Lop Dar, with an introduction to both basic and advanced applications and counters.
During the latter part of the workshop, Moy Tung explained and demonstrated:
Lop Sao and Lop Dar grabbing/trapping hands.
Chin Na joint-locking/maiming/breaking techniques that come from Lop Sao, as well as counters.
A Ving Tsun counter if someone fakes high and shoots low.
Biu Gee Kwai Jerm applications.
More
Grandmaster Moy Tung introduced these ideas and exercises at intervals, and participants had time to work on them.
A significant amount of higher level material was covered, and captured on video from multiple angles. Participants got access to the videos with payment, and will likely need to review events from different perspectives for much of the information to sink in.
If you’re an active Moy Tung lineage student, missed the workshop and would like to access the video collection, you can still get it for the Zoom price, $30, now thru the end of June. After that, the price will go up to $50.
See the video clip below, and use the Zoom option at this link to complete your order:
