Kung Fu Fxbg student & MY4 member Alex plays Siu Nim Tao

While on a business trip, before beginning his day of winning clients and conquering the competition, Kung Fu Fxbg student Alex plays Siu Nim Tao. This form, (name means ‘Little Beginning Idea’) is the foundation of the Ving Tsun (wing chun) system, the beginning and the end of training. It requires very little space, and can be practiced on your own, without a training partner.

Practicing Siu Nim Tao teaches, develops and instills basic and all-important principles that apply to all training in the Ving Tsun system; Centerline, relax, horse stance. Theoretically, the sequence could be learned from a video, but understanding and building Kung Fu require diligent, disciplined practice.

The Kung Fu that comes from serious Ving Tsun practice yields internal energy to weather life’s challenges, and techniques/strategies effective for self-defense, so you can protect yourself, your family and community.

A student of Ving Tsun can, and should, develop a lot Kung Fu by training on their own, but it helps - and is necessary for most - to have a Sifu who has trained in the system for years under a qualified Sifu. The roots of the Ving Tsun system extend back to the Shaolin Temple in feudal Southern China.
