High Knife-Hand Defense - Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu
30' clip from a recent Kung Fu Fxbg lesson on using the martial art of Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu to defend against knife attacks.
This particular segment covers self-defense against a knife stabbing down from a high-hand position; control or deflect the knife-hand with one hand, and knock the attacker out with the other.
Also covered were defenses against low-hand and slashing knife techniques. The full video set, with additional camera angles, is available to Kung Fu Fxbg students.
Note: If confronted by someone with a knife, the best defense may simply be to get away from them. If there's no opportunity to do so, the next best option may be to fight. Even if you get cut, if you knock out, disarm or otherwise disable the attacker, you can prevent further injury.
