Basic training at KUNG FU FXBG in Fredericksburg, Va is a non-contact Kung Fu Conditioning Class, with men and women taught in separate classes. This self-defense & fitness program consists of only the first Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu form (Siu Nim Tao), and Moy Tung Kung Fu conditioning drills. For a limited time, your first class is just $5, and you can bring a friend, free. You train for 30”, get a great work out, and get introduced to the basics of Ving Tsun training. The Kung Fu Conditioning class is for responsible adults, and mature teens 14+ with parent/guardian release. Moy Tung Kung Fu training will give you whole body strength, and a powerful, relaxed energy. Knowing you can defend yourself will give you confidence, so you can relax even more. The Kung Fu you gain from disciplining yourself to train will help you weather adversity and obstacles in your life. Moy Tung Ving Tsun training and principles for fighting in self-defense will help you focus and work more effectively on your life goals. If you add a 30” Kung Fu Conditioning self-defense class to your schedule just twice a week for a year or two, this basic Ving Tsun training alone will develop a strong Kung Fu foundation, great health & fitness, and real-world fighting skills. If you’re interested in doing more advanced training, this class is the foundation and the warm-up.

Training in the complete Ving Tsun System is available for those who do well with the basic training. Students enrolled in this program stay for an additional hour, at least 2-3 days/week. If you work hard, you can learn the first three Ving Tsun forms and be on Chi Sao (sticking-hands; two-person exercises) in your first year. If you keep working hard, in your second year you can learn the 108 Muk Yan Jong form, and get introduced to the Kwan and more advanced Chi Sao.

There’s a saying in Ving Tsun: “Practice hard when you’re young, or you’ll have nothing when you’re old.” These are definitely wise words the young will do well to heed, but it’s never too late to start Ving Tsun training – studies show that even in older beginners, training improves balance and grip-strength, both good predictors of longevity. As a parent, you can learn Ving Tsun, too – you can set a good example for your kids, and share your Kung Fu with them. And if you ever need to defend yourself, your Kung Fu will be there for you.
